A trusted broadcast professional for more than 30 years, Dave Drexler is one of San Diego’s best-known voice-over talents, on-camera presenters and media writer/producers. As principal voice and on-camera host for PBS affiliate KPBS-TV for 22 years, Dave received three Emmy awards for performance and writing plus an Emmy nomination as Producer.

As Director of Drexler Media since 1986, Dave provides voice-over, full-service audio production and creative services to a wide variety of corporate, retail, non-profit and broadcast clients. Dave’s versatile voice and performing style ranges from the authoritative to the whimsical, adding distinction to any project – all produced in his ISDN broadcast-quality studio.

An Adjunct Professor at San Diego City College since 1997, Dave delights in teaching and mentoring the next generation of media performers and producers. His broad knowledge of jazz and audio led to his position as Producer/Director of KSDS-FM’s “Jazz Live,” a monthly live radio broadcast featuring national jazz artists, which also provides hands-on concert and audio production experience to SDCC students. Beginning in 2009, Dave joined the faculty of Palomar College in San Marcos, California as an instructor of Pro Tools digital audio.

Dave enjoys world travel at every opportunity and has been fortunate during his career to work on-air in Sydney, Australia and in-studio in Tokyo, Japan. His familiarity with numerous languages and accents adds to his variety of performance skills, while his experience in the world ensures a sensitive and respectful approach to every project.
